Search rankings for agents
You will never outrank Zillow on listings. You can beat them on buildings.
Portals own inventory search and always will - they have the budgets, the domain authority, and your MLS feed. What they cannot do is know a building, a street, or an HOA. That gap is where an agent can genuinely win, and almost nobody is working it.

Search work for real estate agents and teams: neighborhood authority, building-level pages, seller-intent content, and local map placement.
Agents buying portal leads shared with competitors who want traffic that belongs to them.
The winning strategy here is explicitly not competing on listings. It is owning the content portals cannot produce.
A site that ranks for nothing, and total dependence on Zillow for every new conversation.
Everyone builds for buyers. The money is in seller searches.
Buyer traffic is enormous, competitive, and largely owned by portals. Seller traffic is smaller, quieter, and worth vastly more per visitor.
You are fighting for inventory searches
Trying to rank for "homes for sale in Miami" means competing with Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.com. It is unwinnable and it is where most agent SEO budgets die.
Nothing targets sellers
People searching how much their home is worth, whether to sell now, or what a unit closed for are future listings. That content barely exists in most markets, and one listing is worth dozens of buyer inquiries.
Generic city pages
A page about "Miami real estate" competes with everything and says nothing. A page about one building or one neighborhood with real detail ranks quickly because almost nobody bothered.
Ranking where the portals are weak.
Building-level pages
Individual pages for the condo towers you work - fees, assessments, rental rules, amenities, and sales history. High intent, minimal competition.
Neighborhood authority
Genuine guides covering price trends, schools, HOA realities, and daily life - content written from experience rather than scraped data.
Seller-intent content
Home valuation, market timing, and preparation content aimed at the searches that turn into listings.
Map pack placement
Google Business Profile optimization so you appear for local agent searches, which most agents ignore entirely.
Multilingual pages
Spanish and Portuguese content for the international buyers most of your competition is invisible to.
Review velocity
Automated review requests after each closing, when clients are genuinely delighted and easy to ask.
Own one tower and you own every transaction in it.
This is the single most under-exploited opportunity in South Florida real estate search. Condo buyers here search by building name - they have already chosen the tower and want to know fees, rules, assessment history, and what units actually closed for. The portals serve thin automated pages for these searches and agents serve nothing at all. An agent who builds ten genuine building pages for towers they actively work can dominate those searches within months, and every one of those visitors is deep in the purchase process rather than idly browsing. It also compounds: becoming the visible expert for a building brings the listings from it too.
- ✓One real page per building, with detail buyers cannot easily find
- ✓Assessment and HOA history that establishes genuine expertise
- ✓Both buyer and seller inquiries from the same building content
One seller is worth more than thirty buyer leads.
Buyer traffic is where every agent instinctively goes, because there is so much of it. But buyers are slow, fickle, frequently working with three agents, and often not ready for a year. A seller searching what their home is worth is a listing appointment waiting to happen, and listings are the asset - they generate buyer leads themselves, they market you to the entire street, and they close reliably. The seller-side searches are quieter and dramatically less contested, and almost no agent has built serious content for them.
- ✓Valuation and market-timing content aimed at future listings
- ✓Neighborhood sold-price content that attracts owners, not just buyers
- ✓Preparation and staging guidance that opens the listing conversation
A portal lead is rented, shared, and gone when you stop paying.
Zillow and similar platforms sell the same inquiry to multiple agents, charge substantially per lead, and stop the day the card declines. There is nothing accumulating. Content that ranks belongs to you permanently - the building page you publish this quarter keeps producing inquiries for years, exclusively, and it makes you look like the authority rather than one of three agents who called at once. It is slower to build, which is exactly why running paid alongside makes sense rather than waiting in silence.
- ✓Exclusive inquiries rather than leads shared with competitors
- ✓Content that keeps producing long after it is published
- ✓Positions you as the area expert instead of one of several callers

Real Estate SEO FAQs
Can I actually outrank Zillow?
Not for listing searches - do not spend money trying. For specific buildings, neighborhood questions, and seller-intent searches, absolutely. Those are the terms where portal content is thin and generic, and they convert far better anyway.
How long does real estate SEO take?
Building and hyperlocal pages can rank surprisingly quickly, sometimes within a couple of months, because competition is so light. Broader neighborhood terms take six months or more. Paid channels can bridge the gap.
How many building pages should I build?
Only for buildings you genuinely work and know. Ten real pages with fee histories, rules, and honest commentary beat sixty thin ones - and thin duplicated pages risk being filtered entirely.
Is this worth it if I am on a brokerage template?
Usually not, because you cannot build the content that wins and you do not own the domain. If you are serious about owning an area, you need a site that is yours.
Should I write about my listings?
Individual listing pages have almost no SEO value - they disappear when the property sells. Sold-price and market-trend content built around the area keeps working indefinitely.
How is this different from your standard SEO service?
Same discipline aimed at a market where the dominant players cannot be beaten head-on, so the entire strategy is choosing ground they cannot defend. Our core SEO page explains the underlying service.
