Growth for mobile detailers

A $150 wash and a $2,000 coating are not the same business.

Most detailing marketing chases bookings and ends up with a calendar full of cheap jobs spread across the county. We measure by ticket size and drive time - then push the budget toward the work that actually pays for the day.

We will tell you what to stop paying for. Even if that is us.

What this is

The channel and measurement layer for mobile detailing: paid campaigns, subscription growth, fleet outreach, and attribution by job value.

Who it's for

Detailers with a full calendar and thin margins, or empty weeks between good jobs.

What makes it different

We optimize for revenue per day worked, not booking count. In mobile work, drive time is a real cost nobody accounts for.

What it fixes

Cheap jobs crowding out coating work, scattered bookings that waste half the day driving, and no-shows on a slot that could have been sold.

Where the margin goes

A packed calendar can still be a losing week.

Six cheap jobs in six different neighborhoods is a full day of work and almost no profit once fuel, product, and driving are counted.

01

Bookings scattered across the county

Broad targeting produces customers thirty minutes apart. You spend more of the day driving than detailing, and the day grosses less than three jobs on one street would have.

02

Cheap searches eat the budget

Run one campaign for everything and wash terms consume it, because they carry far more volume. The coating buyer never sees your ad because a hundred wash clicks spent the budget first.

03

No-shows and cancellations

A cancelled slot in mobile work cannot be backfilled - you are already driving. Every no-show is a lost day fraction that no additional advertising recovers.

What we run

Marketing measured by what the day earned.

Separated campaign budgets

Coating and correction campaigns funded independently from maintenance work, so premium jobs are never priced out by cheap clicks.

Local Services Ads

Where your category qualifies, per-lead pricing above the map pack with the Google Guaranteed badge doing the trust work a mobile business otherwise lacks.

Route-aware targeting

Geographic weighting that clusters bookings instead of scattering them, so more of the day is billable.

Deposit and confirmation flow

Booking deposits and reminder sequences that cut no-shows on a calendar where an empty slot cannot be resold.

Subscription growth

Recurring maintenance plans marketed to past customers - predictable revenue and a route that plans itself.

Fleet and commercial outreach

Campaigns aimed at dealerships, rental operations, and company fleets, where one account can equal a month of retail work.

raise the ticket first

Getting more bookings is the harder way to make more money.

Most detailers ask for more leads when the faster gain is sitting in the customers already booking. Someone who paid for a maintenance detail is a genuine prospect for paint correction, and someone who paid for correction is the ideal candidate for a ceramic coating - they have already seen what you can do to their paint. Almost nobody markets this sequence. A simple follow-up offering the next tier, sent while the car still looks transformed, consistently produces higher-margin work at a fraction of the cost of finding a new customer.

  • Tier-up sequences sent after every completed job
  • Coating offers targeted to past correction customers
  • Photos of the customer's own vehicle used in the follow-up
geography is margin

Cluster the bookings and the same work pays more.

Mobile detailing profitability is decided by how much of the day is spent working versus driving. Two jobs in the same building can be worth more than three spread across Miami-Dade, once fuel and dead time are counted. So targeting should not be about maximum reach - it should deliberately concentrate demand where you already have work booked. We weight campaigns geographically around existing bookings and push subscription customers into clusters, which quietly raises revenue per day without needing a single additional lead.

  • Campaign geography weighted around booked work
  • Building and community targeting where multiple cars are reachable
  • Reporting on revenue per working day, not per booking
the fleet opportunity

One dealership account can be worth a month of retail.

Retail detailing is competitive, price-sensitive, and has to be re-sold constantly. Commercial work behaves completely differently: dealerships, rental fleets, exotic car storage facilities, and company vehicle fleets need recurring service, sign contracts, pay on invoice, and almost never shop around once they are happy. It also concentrates the work in one location, which solves the drive-time problem entirely. Very few mobile detailers pursue it deliberately, mostly because it requires a different pitch - capacity, insurance, scheduling reliability, and per-unit pricing rather than package menus.

  • Targeted outreach to dealerships, rentals, and fleet operators
  • Insurance and capacity proof presented the way a fleet buyer expects
  • Contract and per-unit pricing instead of retail packages
the compounding side

Ads fill next week. Rankings fill the year.

Paid channels stop producing the moment the card stops, and social demands content forever. Search rankings are the one part that keeps working while you are under a car with a polisher. A page ranking for ceramic coating in your area produces booking requests for years at no cost per lead. It is slower, so it is not a substitute for paid work this month - but running both means each year of the business starts from a higher floor than the last.

  • Paid channels for immediate calendar filling
  • Organic rankings as the asset that keeps producing quietly
  • Both measured against revenue per working day

FAQ

Mobile Detailing Marketing FAQs

What does detailing marketing cost?

Flat monthly management plus whatever ad spend you choose, paid directly to the platforms in your own account. We never take a percentage of spend.

How do I get more ceramic coating jobs instead of washes?

Separate the budgets so cheap searches cannot consume them, market the tier-up to customers who already paid you once, and build real content for coating searches rather than a line on a package menu.

Should I charge a booking deposit?

For higher-value jobs, generally yes. A cancelled mobile slot cannot be backfilled once you are on the road, so the no-show costs you the whole time block. A modest deposit removes most casual cancellations without deterring serious customers.

Is Instagram enough on its own?

It works for this trade and you should keep doing it. But it resets daily, demands constant content, and one algorithm change can halve your reach. Pairing it with search and paid channels means a busy week without posting does not empty next month.

Are fleet accounts worth chasing?

Usually yes - recurring revenue, invoice payment, no price shopping, and all the vehicles in one place, which eliminates drive time. It needs a different pitch built around capacity and reliability rather than retail packages.

Do we own the ad accounts?

Yes - accounts, tracking, customer data, and history in your name. If you leave, everything goes with you.
